John Tredennick is an internationally-recognized trial lawyer and legal technology pioneer. He spent the first half of his career trying complex cases as a litigation partner at a national law firm. In 2000, he launched Catalyst Repository Systems, a leading e-discovery hosted software technology company.
Over the past two decades, Catalyst built one of the world’s fastest and most powerful e-discovery platforms, helping global companies and their counsel reduce legal costs and take control of discovery and regulatory compliance. It also broke new ground with Insight Predict, one of the first TAR 2.0 applications built around the Continuous Active Learning protocol. Indeed, Tredennick wrote the book on Technology Assisted Review: “TAR for Smart People,” now in its third edition.
During those years, Tredennick served as Catalyst’s CEO, founder and product visionary. In 2019, he sold Catalyst to OpenText, a large public company that will continue its mission on an even broader scale. Seeking to use his accumulated skills and experience to help others, Tredennick left Catalyst after the sale, creating Tredennick.Law to provide strategy and guidance to legal and business organizations.
